CIP’s organisation is based on clear roles and responsibilities for the Senior Partners, Senior Management and the Partner Group and acknowledges our responsibilities to investors, industry partners and the communities in which we operate. Our organisation is designed to enable accountability and empower our employees while promoting efficient investment decisions and limiting internal bureaucratic processes. 


Founders

CIP is majority owned by the four Senior Partners and Founders: Jakob Baruël Poulsen, Torsten Lodberg Smed, Christina Grumstrup Sørensen and Christian Skakkebæk. They have the overarching responsibility to the Limited Partners in CIP’s funds and oversee, and prioritise and set the strategic agenda across the company.

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee focuses on overseeing and prioritising activities across CIP and sets the strategic agenda across the organisation. It constitutes Chief Investment Officer Mads Skovgaard-Andersen, Chief Operating Officer Martin Neubert and Global Head of Investor Relations Annabel Wiscarson.

CIP Fund Solutions is a platform delivery company working for Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners P/S (CIP) and funds managed by CIP in providing complex fund management and investment services.
CIP Terra Technologies is a project delivery company working for funds managed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) and responsible for development, procurement and project delivery at scale across a range of land-based renewable technologies: onshore wind, transmission, bioenergy, solar PV, battery storage and thermal.
CIP Molecule Technologies is a project delivery company working for funds managed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) to ensure successful development and construction of Power-to-X (PtX) and carbon capture, use and storage, (CCUS) projects at scale.

CIP Fund management

The Fund Management team ensures stable operation of the ongoing business and oversee risk management, compliance and ESG related aspects of CIP and its funds as well as provide investors and other relevant stakeholders with reporting and information. Fund Management is headed by Bo Foged, Partner and CFO and includes Partners Simon Kjær, Erik Banner Voigt, Thomas Hinrichsen and Lars Gert Lose as well as Managing Director Kristina Negendahl Jessen.

Org Management

CIP’s fund management is structured in three overall organisational areas: Investment & Investment Management, Investor Relations & Business Development and Fund Management. Investment & Investment Management is organised around each of the CIP funds and Investor Relations & Business Development is comprised of two teams tasked with building long-term relationships with investors and further developing our offerings to investors. Fund Management is made up of the several support functions necessary to underpin the daily running of CIP funds.
